James J. Girvan received his Juris Doctor Degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1979, where he was the recipient of awards in American Jurisprudence in Evidence and Unincorporated Associations, and his Bachelor of Arts Degree (cum laude) from Fordham College, Bronx, New York in 1976. He is admitted to the New York State Bar Association and to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. For over 30 years, he has successfully represented physicians, hospitals and other health care providers in varied high exposure medical malpractice matters through trial. His experience has included successful resolutions of matters sounding under theories of drug and other products liability, premises and other general negligence matters on behalf of various well recognized institutional clients.
