On June 3, 2026, Anthony Marino obtained a directed verdict after a two week trial in Supreme Court, Suffolk County before Justice Joseph Farneti. The case was filed by a then 80 year old woman who underwent a total right knee replacement and was seen in follow up by our physician’s assistant client. The allegation was the PA missed signs and symptoms of an infection that ultimately resulted in removal of the replacement hardware and a fusion of the knee. After plaintiff rested, the defense moved to dismiss and the motion was granted by Judge Farneti on the issue of causation as well as the breach of the standard of care.
